Meet the Founder – Douglas Goldblatt

Douglas quite literally grew up in the Marquee and Tensile Structure World. With a father in the industry, tents have been part of his life from the very beginning. From watching installations as a child to stepping into the family business at just 17 years old, Douglas has developed a lifelong connection and passion for the industry – it’s fair to say, marquees are in his blood.

Over the years, Douglas has built a well-rounded expertise that spans every part of the process – from sales and client consultation to design, steel fabrication, on-site installation, and creative problem solving. He is now a skilled structure designer recognised for his ability to blend practical engineering with creative vision.

In 2023, Douglas launched RAK Structures, bringing with him his over 3 decades of industry experience. Under his leadership, the company continues to grow with a clear mission:
